I'm over at Tawny Weber's blog today. I had the privilege of meeting Tawny in Dallas back in 2007 (not that she'd remember it at ALL--I was one of many who she met while she was taking part in the RWA Literary booksigning.) I made it a point to stop off and buy her book, Double Dare, and thank her. I thanked her because Tawny belongs to the Black Diamonds Romance Writers group. They'd run a contest that year asking for writers to submit the first paragraph of their manuscript. That was the very first writing contest I'd ever entered. I didn't win, but I placed in the top ten which was very special because her group very generously offered critiques of the first chapters to the writers of the top ten paragraphs. I learned a LOT from that critique. So much so, that my next manuscript (Private Property) sold. As did the next one (Personal Protection). And the next one (Texas Tangle) will be released by Carina Press this summer.
So I'm thrilled to be appearing on Tawny's blog now as one of her guest authors. Oh, and don't forget that Tawny is also a member of the Romance Bookmark Yahoo loop -- the no promo loop to discuss your love of books, or anything else that is going on in your life.
